The Robusto Europe’s motto is “PASSION FOR HABANOS.” Although a relatively new brand in the cigar world, the team operating the online store has decades of experience selling Habanos online.

Supply and Demand

The predecessor of the Robusto Europe cigar shop opened in December 2008, primarily targeting the Swedish cigar market. At that time, Habanos were not in short supply, and we could easily meet the needs of almost all our customers. Today, the supply of Habanos is drastically different. There are many reasons: the negative impact of climate change on cigar harvests, the pandemic, stricter cigar labeling regulations, and stricter tobacco import regulations in various countries. But the main reason is that Cuba exports a large quantity of Habanos to China.

Fake Havana Cigars

Unfortunately, the counterfeit cigar market has exploited this supply and demand imbalance and grown rapidly. The sales of counterfeit cigars at most major online cigar shops in Europe may have surpassed the total sales of genuine Cuban Havana cigars. A clear indication is that these shops often have a wider selection than La Casa del Habano (LCDH) stores and significantly lower prices, especially for Cohiba. If you’ve ever placed an order at one of these shops because of their “wide selection and low prices,” you’ve almost certainly been scammed. This multi-billion dollar industry is increasingly sophisticated in its counterfeiting of packaging and cigars themselves, making it extremely easy to be fooled.

We can attest to the authenticity of our Habanos. The Robusto Europe sources exclusively from the official Habanos distributor in the Nordic and Baltic regions – The Premium Company in Sweden. To give you peace of mind, we can provide a copy of the packing slip issued by the distributor for your specific order, clearly identifying your batch of cigars. Most of our cigar boxes have a black “Inspected by Habanos Nordic”-label, affixed by the distributor after inspection. To our knowledge, counterfeiters haven’t forged this label yet – at least not so far…

Ordering Process

For orders of items that are in Robusto’s stock, they are shipped the next business day. If the items are available at the official Habanos distributor Premium Company, they are shipped after about a week, as we order them directly after the customer’s order. For items that are on your wish list that you have sent to us, we order them at the beginning of each month. By sending us your wish list, you have the opportunity to purchase cigars that are not marked as in stock on the website.

  • The 1st–3rd of each month: Store availability update
  • Around the 5th of each month: Orders are placed with the distributor for cigars in wish lists
  • Around the 15th of each month: We receive the goods and can ship your order

We use the Swedish logistics provider PostNord or UPS for all shipments and have a streamlined declaration process to minimize the time goods spend at eventual customs.
